100% Distance Learning Students
08/21/2020
Families who have selected distance learning for their students may pick up Chromebooks, textbooks and teacher supplied materials Thursday, August 27 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. or Friday, August 28 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. Some students will already have Chromebooks from Spring. Pick up will be a drive through process under the canopy. You are encouraged to wear a mask when picking up materials.

Math and Reading Family Videos

FCPS has created a set of videos to help families assist their elementary children with practicing skills while at home. These short videos focus on math and reading concepts for students at a variety of grade levels. They are not a replacement for the learning provided by classroom teachers, but are meant to enhance or review skills children and families can practice together.

2021-22 Kindergarten Registration

Parents with a student already enrolled in Frederick County Public Schools are to register their rising kindergarten student between February 8 and 26. Parents who have no children currently enrolled in FCPS should register their child for kindergarten from March 1-31.

School Board Meeting Reminder
School Board Meeting to Stream Live

On Tuesday, January 19, the Frederick County School Board will meet at 6:45 p.m. (Closed Session) / 7:00 p.m. (Public Session) at the FCPS Administration Building. Those who want to attend the meeting must complete the Meeting Registration Form and will be required to wear a face covering throughout the meeting. The meeting will also be made accessible via a live video stream on the FCPS YouTube Channel. Citizen/staff comments will be provided to School Board members at the meeting. The deadline to submit comments is Tuesday, January 19 at 3:00 p.m. Comments will be read at the meeting in accordance with the Board’s citizen/staff comment procedures.
